The Student Tech Crew program is accepting applications for the Summer Technology Institute. The program empowers students in today’s information society while preparing them for leading edge technology support.
The program offers enrichment where students gain a sense of empowerment, independence and self-confidence as they learn to articulate their creativity in new ways by learning to repair technology. The students will leave with new technology skills and tech-confidence.
With certified instructors in tune with Information Technology, students receive an unparalleled personal experience. The program focuses on technology approved curriculum and the exploration of challenging new skills. Students learn valuable skills they will carry into their future that are beneficial for any career.

Looking for a field trip for your students? Looking for a program to bring to your school? Memphis in May International School Performances present opportunities for your students to experience international culture - live!
Tunisia: Rhythm of the Sands: Field-trip opportunity to see Tunisian dancers and musicians live in the Orpheum Theatre. Performances are on May 6 and 7, 2010 at 10 AM, and tickets are offered FREE of charge to area students and teachers! The show lasts approximately 90 minutes, and schools are responsible for transportation to and from the theater. Tickets are reserved on a first-come first- serve basis, so apply today! |

Information for the GO TECH Program:
Felicia Fowler, Ed.D, Coordinator, Instructional Technology, RE: Got Tech 2010 Registration for GOT TECH 2010 is going on now and extends through March 31. This summer technology institute, presented by the Instructional Technology Department, is open to all rising 5th – 12th MCS students and will be held at Vance Middle School and Hamilton Middle School June 14-18 and June 21-25.
Younger students have the opportunity to attend either location during the first week; older students may attend the second week. Topics include music and video production, podcasting, blogging, animation, and digital photography.
